Daycare group games?????
I work at an afterschool daycare. When we are transitioning from school to snacktime it gets a little chaotic because they have to stand in line while we get the gym set up. What are some simple indoor games I can play with 45 kids????

- Telephone--the first person in the line whispers something to the next person and so on and so on. The last person in line says it out loud and compares it to what the first person said.

- You can't go wrong with heads up 7 up. They could put their heads against a wall with their thumbs up. Simon Says is always good for getting their attention when everyone is talking. You could get a stopwatch and time them to see how long it takes to pass an object from the front of the line to the back. If someone drops it they have to start over. You could mix it up by having them pass it over head, through the legs, etc. If they don't need to stay in line, you could play "Fruit Basket". Thats where you call out "groups of two" and they all need to hold hands with one other person. Then you say "groups of three" and they have to form groups of three and so on. When you say "Fruit Basket" they have to mix up and find someone they haven't been with before. Good Luck! I know those times can be really tricky but you are on the right track getting a game started. It will make it more fun for them (and you as well)
