Do CX4 crossover cables exist , or is it regulated on the board.?

I'm going to buy 2 pciE 10 gigabit CX4 adapters , for iscsi use . Since I'm going to make a second box with an areca controller 16 hard drives , and use iscsi to access those drives from my main computer ( i could install the extra controller in my main machine but cabling and racks for the extra 16 drives would just be chaotic .) i want to avoid the cost of a 10 GB switch. My question is : Is there such a thing as a CX4 crossover cable..? Or will a straight cable switch automatically as is the case with most 1 GB RJ45 cards these days... Do you have suggestions on what cards are any good? (HP NC510C PCIe 10 Gigabit) is what I'm thinking of buying.

  1. "Automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration is intended to eliminate the need for crossover cables between similar devices. Automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration is required for 10GBASE-T devices and shall comply with 40.4.4.1 and 40.4.4.2." http://www.ieee802.org/3/maint/requests/maint_1183.pdf So that means straight cable is OK.
