I play D&D every Sat and 2 players say I don't play my PC right and I play a C/N PC, do I?
I play D&D every Sat and 2 players say I don't play my Elven PC right and I have always played Elven PCs as Chaotic/Neutral, and I'm in real life as close to Chaotic/Neutral as one can get. And yes I've been this way even before the game came out. What do you think, do I or not? Also I've read a lot about the Elves since the D&D game came out and I still have over 20 books on Elves. So do I know how to roll play Elves?

- wouldn,t know
- you do. You are Chaotic / Neutral as i am!
- Well there are a few different ways to play Chaotic Neutral. The easiest is to play off an example. For example Captain Jack Sparrow is almost the perfect example of CN... I don't believe a better example has ever been made. Another way is to play chaotic stupid Chaotic Stupid, "Unfettered Moron" A Chaotic Stupid character follows his whims recourse to his brain. He is an idiot without the restraint to consider what he is about to do before he dashes off to do it. Too foolish to align his $mpulses as legitimately Good or Evil before they are carried out, the Chaotic Stupid character is nonetheless capable of remorse in the event of a truly moronic action (which he is as likely to turn himself in for as he is to try - usually ineptly - to cover it up). A Chaotic Stupid character is as likely to jump off a bridge as cross it. Chaotic Stupid is the best alignment you can be because it represents indulging your every whim and having your buddies pick up the pieces And the third is to play what basically amounts to a Chaotic Evil Character but try to wiggle out of being labeled evil due to some completely random ability to literally justify any action. Especially when killing other lifeforms. Unfortunately most people play CN as the second two and thus most DM's actually outlaw that alignment. I would rather have someone play a Chaotic Evil character (and be honest about it) than to listen to endless arguments as to why they "aren't really evil" I have met very few that in my opinion have ever played CN correctly (Me included) As its so contrary to our (as humans) normal mentality. Now as to your actual question, with out specific examples from both sides of the argument i cant actually say for sure whether or not your playing the alignment correctly. But as a rule of thumb, if Jack Sparrow would do it... then your pretty much playing the alignment correctly
- You know how to rollplay elves very well.
- It might appear that maybe some are just jealous of you're knowledge and want to poke holes in. You have done the home work so don't let it get you down.Just continue on. if you have the proof, show it then all will be quiet.
- How do you "play it right"? Your fellow players may object because they feel you're trying too hard or that your character is so like you that they can't tell the difference between Myfaeia the player and Myfaeia's character. As far as I know, you're doing an excellent job!
- From what I have observed directly playing in the same game as you. The other two are just jealous of your skill.
