Now he is in US, and he is talking "Compassion" now. But for the past month, he led a demonstrations in Tibet resulted in a deadly violence, with 4 ethnic girls burned alive, including a Tibetan girl. The protest in London, Paris, San Francisco turned into a chaotic violence against the Olympic torches. Olympic spirit becomes a focused and orchestrated contempt against the Chinese people, who only want to see Games be held in Beijing ?

- He always talks compassion. He didn't lead any demonstrations whatsoever in Tibet, and sharply opposed any kinds of violence, whether from the Chinese or the Tibetan side. Consistently. He also never opposed the Olympic Games in Beijing. I agree on one thing, only - sometimes the critics of the Chinese regime falls into contempt for everything Chinese (just like many falls to contempt for everything Arabic or Muslim because of some terrorists). That leads to NO good. The Dalai Lama is a friend of China and the Chinese, he just criticizes what they do to the Tibetans in Tibet. His image might be damaged in China, but that's certainly not because of his own actions (which the Chinese media would never report about), but because of what they baselessly write about him in their propaganda campaign against him. In the West I really don't think his image have been damaged by the last weeks incidents. Why should it? He has no finger in them, and I don't think many people here swallow the baseless claims that he has.
