Do these scientific observations prove God exists?
Causation. God provides the best explanation for the existence of the universe and all that's in it. (The alternative theory is that "nothing" exploded and resulted in everything that we see.) Order. God provides the best explanation for abstract notions such as numbers, mathematical formulae, chemical-based processes, and natural laws. (The alternative theory is that the chaotic first elements ordered themselves into complex information systems.) Design. God provides the best explanation for the absolute complexity inherent in cosmological, stellar, planetary, chemical and biological systems. (The alternative theory is that random chance engineered apparent design.) Encoded Instructions. God provides the best explanation for the digital DNA code contained in and controlling the functions of all life on earth. (The alternative theory is that complex code, such as binary code running computers, can pop into existence without any kind of programming, testing and debugging process.) Irreducible Complexity. God provides the best explanation for fully functioning biological organisms, systems, and subsystems that couldn’t come about through gradual evolutionary process without totally ceasing to exist at lower, evolutionary levels. (The alternative theory is that biological systems took huge, unseen leaps from simple to complex without any guided process or forward-looking instructions.) Duality. God provides the best explanation for the separate human functions of brain and conscience (matter and mind). (The alternative theory is monism -- only matter exists and the human brain only appears to have a separate subconscious ability.) Morality. God provides the best explanation for the existence of love, emotion, altruism, and inherent moral/ethical values throughout the world. (The alternative theory is that unguided materialistic processes evolve higher human consciousne It is cut and paste. I didn't want to type it all. But, it really says something about people who would be offended by this. Maybe you need something else in your life?

- Sorry I can't get past the fatally flawed first sentence. How can it be addressed seriously if you just misrepresent facts.
- No one can prove nor disprove the existence of God. One can, however, use such reason and logic to validate faith in God's existence.
- Substitute God with FSM . The equasion is still just as good. Victory! Praised be and ramen!
- Nope.
- God provides the best explanation for all of those things only because you are looking at the world with blinders on.
- Digital DNA... hmm. Gotta get me some of that.
- None of those points are valid. The omniverse has existed for eternity. It was not created.
- No, not in the slightest, proper scientists wouldnt give these ham fisted fallacies a minute of their time
- You've said nothing: all you've done is answered every question with "I don't know, therefore a magic sky fairy is the best answer." Re Additional Details: We are offended because people devote lifetimes to attempting to pursue real answers, and someone believes an equal and serious alternative is to invent a magic sky fairy who does it all for shits and giggles; in the process of which they hamper real intellectual development. You would probably feel the same if I proposed "Christ was a warty assed baboon" as an honest and serious alternate to the whole son of Mary and a sky fairy thing.
- I wouldn't say that a sky god is the best explanation for any of the above. Do a better job of formatting the wild theorys you cut and pasted from somewhere else next time. It's almost unreadable. By the way, a quick Yahoo search came up with several websites stating the EXACT same argument in the EXACT same words. See below. It is interesting that you can't defend your faith, or attempt to persuade others in your own words. Would your jesus pass off someone else's work as his own?
- there is no god, there is more prove in sic then god. and no the bible is not prove people wrote that.
- I've yet to see the arguments from first cause or design made without contradicting themselves. That's may be why few of us pay attention to them.
- When you decide to replace your brain with cutting & pasting you should also check to see if the last word gets cut off.
- The big bang theory has so far stated that there was a big bang... no credable scientist has siad that this explosion came from nothing. Perhaps there was no mass before the big bang, but there was energy, and energy is just mass in another form. Edit: If 'God provides the best explanations', why don't you tell us these explanations?
- You failed on the first sentence. Big time.
- Err...never heard of M-Theory I take it. It has causation that doesn't involve magic. The rest of that is equally crap. Evidence for a god, is evidence for a god. It isn't evidence that we don't understand something, although most of your list is very well understood. That kind of thinking is what lead to demonic possession as being the accepted explanation for illness in the Middle Ages. I don't think we want to go in that direction
- Yes, "god did it". Let's pack up our science bags and go home. Your so-called proofs have been refuted to death.
- literally every single one of these arguments is a logical fallacy.
- I don't see how making up an answer that it was an even more complex entity that just always existed is the best explanation for the complexity of the universe.
- No. They are not scientific observations. You haven't said anything. You are just talking nonsense.
- You only give two hypothesis for each scenario and both are flawed. It's like me saying Where do babies come from: The stork drops them off on your porch or the alternative the birds and the bees. choose one.
- Causation: No, the best explanation is the 'nothing', I'm afraid. You're happy to use a computer whose chips have to be designed nowadays to account for similar fluctuations in quantum physics, so you're not really in a position to deny it's demonstrable. Design: Falls down when you consider retrograde evolutionary processes; why would someone design a bird that can't fly, such as the ostrich? Irreducible complexity has been disproven many, many times. Not even going there. 'What use is half an eye' went out of vogue decades ago. Duality is a process of having a bicameral mind. Morality: Is a human construct Show me one particle of morality or ethics. They exist only in our heads, and are propogated by society; are indeed the reason society coheres. Well, hope that's cleared that one up a bit. Probably hasn't, but it might defer a few people from thinking that because you know a few big words, you're the one with the only right answers.
- Slapping a "GODDIDIT" label on everything explains nothing. this being that supposedly is a better answer then "nothing" would be a billion times more complex than any known organism, making it even MORE unlikely than nothing. none of your "god is the best explanation" answers are even near "scientific, it's just you not having an answer and giving up on trying to find one.
- And God = Bible Monster, right?
- way to go, youve stated an opinion. 1. the universe did not explode from nothing. no scientist will ever say that. energy expanded and that energy came from somewhere, we dont know where 2. actually, im pretty sure humans came up with numbers and formula. the fact that gravity depends on mass is its very definition, and the fact that it diminishes with distance is just a given since we live in a 3 dimensional universe. 3. um, what complexity. a star is a giant ball of hydrogen, thats it...how is that complex? if gravity exists at all stars, planets, moons, and galaxies MUST form. theres nothing random about it, it MUST happen. 4. your right binary code cant pop into existence, someone has to press the button. however, very short DNA strands can. its not impossible, its not even unlikely. 5. again, way to state an opinion. see, id say billions of years of biological evolution provides the best explanation, in that it actually makes sense. big bad sky daddy coming down and creating some girl from a rib makes a whole lot of sense. 6. the brain is conscience. all conscience is is electrical signals in the brain. its no mystery. all animals do it, its just a matter of how evolved that ability is. 7. how does god provide the best explanation for morals? my cat has morals, whenever it sees me in the morning it runs up and purrs. morals are the inherent result of society. people start realizing that killing people isnt good for the society, so they stop. you obviously have no brain at all. have a bad day sir.
- first off, god is not the "best" answer for any of those things. second, nobody believes the "alternate theories" that you are proposing, every single one is a straw man
- no humanbeing can prove de xistance of god on this earth untill n unless a gr8 miracle takes place...........
