*SPOILER* Is Eli Vance (of the Half Life series) really dead?!?

*Half-Life Spoiler Alert!* I just beat Half Life 2: Episode 2 and witnessed the supposed death of Eli Vance. He was one of my favorite characters in the entire series; I thought his grandfatherly personality was an excellent contrast to the chaotic action scenes. I realize it's just a videogame, but it seems like future installments of the series would lack the cinematic originality that have made the Half Life games so special with his absence. So, what's the deal...have the developers revealed if he will be revived in future Half Life games?

2. Next time I would put the spoiler in the subscript. But other than that, yes Eli Vance is dead. I think that its supposed to make the player think even more as to what Eli would have told you about what is really going on here. But I dont think theyre going to bring him back however.
